Booking and deposits, the best time for your shoot, outfits and props, travel, and when your photos arrive.
Where do shoots happen?
In my home studio at 37 Camden Green Crescent, Kraaifontein, or on location anywhere around the Western Cape. Newborn shoots happen in the studio.
How do I book?
Send the free-quote form, WhatsApp me on +27 73 310 9054, or email info@timecapsulephotography.co.za. A 50% deposit secures your date.
How far ahead should I book?
At least 24 hours ahead, although it also depends on when you need your photos.
When is the best time for my shoot?
Maternity: between 28 and 34 weeks, when your baby bump is beautifully rounded and you’re still feeling comfortable.
Newborn: between 5 and 14 days after birth, when your little one is still sleepy, curled up and beautifully tiny.
Cake smash: around your baby’s first birthday, usually between 11 and 12 months, to celebrate this special milestone with fun, laughter and a little mess!
What should we wear? Do you have outfits and props?
Cake smash: outfits, props and decorations are provided, with themes personalised to your chosen style.
Maternity: a selection of beautiful maternity dresses is available to hire for your session.
Newborn: a selection of adorable baby outfits and props is provided to create timeless, precious photographs.
How do you keep newborns safe and comfortable?
Your baby’s safety and comfort are always my top priority. I create a warm, calm and gentle environment, allowing plenty of time for feeding, cuddles and settling, while using safe posing techniques and handling your little one with the utmost care throughout the session.
What should we bring on the day?
Newborn: clean outfits, nappies, enough milk or formula, and all the usual essentials your little one may need during the session.
Cake smash: this depends on your chosen package. Typically you may need to bring a cake, your little one’s outfit and a towel for cleaning up afterwards.
Maternity: your own outfit, if you’re not hiring one from the maternity dress collection.
Can siblings, grandparents or pets join?
Absolutely! Siblings, grandparents and pets are welcome to join, depending on the type of shoot and your chosen package. Additional people may be accommodated at an extra cost.
What if baby is sick, it rains, or we need to reschedule?
If your baby is unwell or something unexpected comes up, we can reschedule your session with at least 48 hours’ notice, subject to availability. For outdoor shoots, rain is taken into consideration and an alternative date arranged where possible. The retainer is non-refundable.
When and how do we get our photos?
Within 14 working days of full payment, in a private online gallery or on a download link.
Do you charge for travel?
Shoots outside Kraaifontein have a travel fee, depending on the distance.
